Christians who believe that Jesus is returning very soon...how much time would have to pass before you would be surprised that Jesus hasn't returned?

You cant really believe a word of the bible. It's all written in riddles by goodness only knows who.

Well start with ‘Only fools say in their heart there is no God’ @meggie

@Mathers Childish insults are no substiute for evidence, nor even reasoned argument. One could say, with equal validity, "Only fools say in their heart there is no Father Xmas." Can you prove Father Xmas doesn't exist?
Mathers · 61-69
Sorry not an insult just a fact. ‘Pretending to be wise they became fools’ anyone who compares the Omnipotent Creator with Father Christmas is an obvious plonker! ’ @Sharon

@meggie All of the stories in the Old & New Testaments illustrate one or more of the real Ten Commandments found in Exodus 34:11-28. The miracles are based on Exodus 34:10. The stories themselves are irrelevant. They are merely devices to quiz the listener, or the reader, to think about which of the Ten Commandments the story is about and whether it shows obedience or disobedience to the commandment.

You can easily see that for yourself by reviewing Exodus 34:10-28 when you read any story. Take a few minutes to think about it and you should be able to identify which commandment the story is illustrating.

The story tellers and writers on the committee did and excellent job linking all of the stories to specific commandments. It is sometimes hard to make the connection because some stories are spread out and are not neatly bundled.

A case in point is the Sermon on the Mount, which takes place over several chapters, and the two times when Jesus fed the crowds with loaves and fish. Refer back to Exodus 34: 23 and you will see that those stories illustrate the 7th Commandment, which directs the men to appear before the God of Israel three times a year. Jesus was supposed to have been the son of God and the king of the Jews.

As I said, childish insults are no substitute for evidence or reasoned argument. The fact that you, like many other christians, have to restort to them merely highhlights the fact they're all you have to offer. You have no evidence nor logical argument to present.
Mathers · 61-69
The fact is I’m not insulting you at all just telling the truth about you. You have no evidence whatsoever to present for all the facts that creation tells us about the existence of God to refute any argument that there is an incredible design in creation . In fact nothing but ignorance@Sharon

So you accept it's OK for me to refer to you as a blithering idiot. After all, it's not an insult, I'm just telling the truth about you. Do you see how that works now?
You have no evidence whatsoever to present for all the facts that creation tells us about the existence of God
You're projecting now. What facts are they that prove the existence of your specific god? You haven't presented any evidence at all.
nothing but ignorance
Childish insults again. They're obviously all you have to offer. You're just stuck in a fixed mindset from which you can't escape.
Mathers · 61-69
You are just completely ignorant of everything that pertains to what we are talking about. You’re ignorant of science and you are ignorant of theology@Sharon

@Mathers LOL! More childish insults. Don't you realise you're just embarrassing yourself?
