Christians who believe that Jesus is returning very soon...how much time would have to pass before you would be surprised that Jesus hasn't returned?

i believe that time has already passed according to biblical times even though i really don't study the bible anymore i do know that theres no way it applies to today, more of just a historical book for refference
@DaveyTaco

I'd actually agree with that. It seems that Paul and even Jesus himself were of the opinion that His return would be within the lifetimes of people at that time.

@Pikachu it's like when people say "the end is near" when has there ever been a time where we've NOT experienced natural disasters and most christians freak out lol.
@DaveyTaco

Yeah that's my pushback on the "signs of the times".
It seems to me that there has not been a period in human history where the signs are not evident.

@Pikachu not to mention, there are at the very least a small handful of disasters that started from faulty power lines and whatnot or other things that were in the end the result of humans and no one can be blamed just because a wire was wrong in a house or others. like that one lawsuit in california for a fire because of a faulty line from an electrical company. it may not have even been because of that
