Why does God use the pronoun us in Genesis 1:26?

In Genesis 1:26 God said let us make man in our image after our likeness. Who is the us and the our image and the our likeness referring to?

Genesis 1 : 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Anunaki or the sons of God. They collectively made the world we live in. They are personas of The Most High. Ancient Nature Spirits that still exist and are worshipped

@SpiritualMan extensions maybe… in the sense that… my son and daughters are my creations. And are me as well. They are extensions of me. That’s how I see it.
@Heavenlywarrior True but they aren't YOU, but otherwise the analogy works. Actually that is a pretty good analogy.
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
@SpiritualMan we’ll here’s the thing.. we are the actual “Image” of The Most High. We can learn a lot a through our bodies
@Heavenlywarrior True...things in our bodies probably symbolize deeper spiritual things.
@Heavenlywarrior Where in the world did you get that philosophy? Show me the exact verses for that in the Bible.
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
@LadyGrace there isn’t an exact scripture and verse… I have to go back and find the Hebrew translation for when God speaks in First person it’s a word “ Anoki” which is similar to “enki”

The Bible is a mixture of different ancient text… the Sumerian tablets are known for its close correlation and probably where the inspiration for the Bible came from in certain passages.

The annunaki are the “Elohim or Elowaah” rulers and gods /angels that were over the earth until Adam was created after the Image of All. Spirit and Flesh in one.

The Elowaah are still worshipped and offered to even in the Haitian culture as Lwas til this day…

@LadyGrace the trinity will never be 3 masculine spirits or three men… that’s not what god intended family for … the trinity is father , mother and son. That’s where Christianity lied to everyone trying to push the gay agenda
@Heavenlywarrior I'm sorry but that is false teaching and nowhere in the Bible does it say that. Your teachings are from the Jehovah Witness Bible.

Prove differently.

And I don't know why you're bringing in the gay agenda it has nothing to do with Christianity. YOU are a false teacher.

"[c=BF0000]But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you, than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed[/c]." Galatians 1:8

We are not to go by what man says and his philosophy, but what Jesus says in His Word. The trinity in the Bible makes up the Godhead to be God the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.

@LadyGrace you don’t even read the books left out the Christian canon… I don’t think you have a full picture..

Who is wisdom? And why the scripture say “her”?

35But wisdom is justified of all her children.Luke 7:35
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
@LadyGrace you also using the “jehovah witness” bible you definitely caught in a snare…. They got you and got you good.
@Heavenlywarrior @57phoseman @SpiritualMan [TurtlePink] Wrong, warrior. You don't know me, so don't pretend to. I am not Jehovah Witness. I am not a denomination. I am a follower of Christ alone, a born-again believer. You are under the influence of Jehovah Witnesses society. Jehovah's Witnesses's practices are based on the biblical interpretations of Charles Taze Russell (1852–1916), founder (c. 1881) of the Bible Student movement, and of successive presidents of the Watch Tower Society, Joseph Franklin Rutherford (from 1917 to 1942) and Nathan Homer Knorr (from 1942 to 1977). Since 1976, practices have also been based on decisions made at closed meetings of the group. All based on man-made philosophy and not directed nor led by the authority of God or HIS WORD.

Let's look at what Jehovah Witnesses really believe:

Jehovah's Witnesses deny that human beings have a spirit that exists after death.Instead they teach that like animals, a person's life ceases to exist at death.

However, the Bible clearly teaches that the human spirit continues a conscious existence after death: 2 Corinthians 5:8 — "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." See also: Luke 16:19-31; Philippians 1:23-24; Revelation 6:9-11.

Jehovah's Witnesses teach that eternal life in God's presence is only for a select few. They claim that only a special group of 144,000 Jehovah's Witnesses can be born again and live forever with God in heaven; all other Jehovah's Witnesses stay on earth.

However, the Bible clearly teaches that all those who put their faith in Jesus Christ will have eternal life in the presence of God. The Bible refers to this group as an innumerable multitude: Revelation 7:9, 15 — "After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb ... they are before the throne of God and serve him day and night in his temple." See also: John 3:15; 5:24;12:26; Ephesians 2:19; Philippians 3:20; Colossians 3:1; Hebrews 3:1; 12:22; 2 Peter 1:10,11.

Jehovah's Witnesses deny the Three-in-One nature of God (Trinity) and teach that Satan invented the doctrine of the Trinity. They reject all the scriptures that identify Jesus Christ as God and the Holy Spirit as God.

However, the Bible clearly teaches that the Son and the Holy Spirit, as well as the Father are God (John 1:1; 20:28; 1 John 5:20; Acts 5:3, 4). It also clearly and forcefully teaches that there is only one God (Isaiah 43:10; 44:6,8; etc.). It teaches that the Three are one — a Trinity (Matthew 28:19; 1 Corinthians 12:4-6; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Peter 1:2).

Is it not dangerous to follow an organization that denies the central teachings of the Bible?

The Jehovah's Witnesses Tamper with the Bible.

The Jehovah's Witness organization has produced its own bogus version of the Bible. This version is called the New World Translation. It contains deliberate changes to many verses of Scripture. These changes try to hide the fact that Jehovah's Witness teaching is unbiblical and false.

According to TowerWatch.com: "The New World Translation of the Bible is Jehovah's Witnesses own translation, no other religious group uses this Bible and Jehovah's Witnesses make very little use of other Bibles.

Tell the truth. Jehovah Witnesses are not allowed to share any teaching or belief that is contrary to what Jehovah’s Witnesses are taught.

The Jehovah's Witnesses deny the central teachings of the Bible.

The Jehovah's Witness organization denies that Jesus Christ is God. Instead they teach that Jesus Christ is a created angel.

"The facts show that this group is a deceptive sect."

However, the Bible clearly teaches that Jesus Christ, the Son, is God. For example, Hebrews 1:8 says, "But about the Son he says, 'Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever ...' " Many other verses also teach this — John 1:1, 14; 20:26-28; Acts 20:28; Romans 9:5; Hebrews 1:3, 8-9; 2 Peter 1:1.

Jehovah's Witnesses deny the bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ. Instead they teach that Jesus' body was dissolved into gases. Charles Taze Russell, founder of the organization taught, "The man Jesus is dead, forever dead" (Studies in the Scriptures, Vol. 5, 1899, p. 454).

However, the Bible clearly teaches that Jesus' body was raised back to life: For example, Luke 24:39 — "Look at my hands and my feet. It is I myself! Touch me and see; a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you see I have." See also — John 2:19-21; John 20:26-28; 1 Corinthians 15:6,14.

Jehovah's Witnesses deny the Holy Spirit is God. Instead they teach that the Holy Spirit is a impersonal force, like electricity.

However, the Bible clearly teaches that the Holy Spirit is God: Acts 5:3,4 — "Then Peter said, Ananias, how is it that Satan has so filled your heart that you have lied to the Holy Spirit ... You have not lied to men but to God." See also John 14:16-17; 16:13-15; Romans 8:26-27; 2 Corinthians 3:6,17-18; Ephesians 4:30.

Jehovah's Witnesses deny that salvation is God's free gift. Instead they teach that salvation must be earned or merited. To obtain salvation and escape judgment, a person must join and do the works prescribed by the Jehovah's Witness organization.

However, the Bible clearly teaches that salvation cannot be earned or merited — it is God’s free gift: Ephesians 2:8-9 — "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast." See also: Romans 4:1-4; Galatians 2:16; Titus 3:5.

Jehovah’s Witnesses are not allowed to:

Read or share any information that is critical of the group.
Question or reject any Jehovah’s Witness teachings or beliefs.
Stop attending door-to-door service or meetings.
Withhold any information about so-called “wrongdoing” from the elders.
In fact, there is a requirement to confess any transgression committed by yourself or others to the elders. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action.
Question or challenge the leadership, including the elders, but especially the Governing Body.

Report child sex abuse cases committed by another Jehovah’s Witness to the police when not required by law.
Read the elders manual (Shepherd the Flock of God), or any internal elders letters.

Pursue friendships with anyone who is not a Jehovah’s Witness.
Attend work or school socials.
Associate with coworkers or school peers after hours or in a social setting.
Have a lawyer, a relative, or a friend present when they are being disciplined or questioned by the elders.

Jehovah’s Witnesses are not allowed to:

Sing the national anthem.
Salute.
Vote.
Pledge allegiance to a country or its flag.
Serve in the military or any of its supporting roles.
Serve on jury duty.
Take part in any protest or strike.
Associate with apostates (Those who have willfully left the religion).
Associate with a disfellowshipped or disassociated individual, whether they are family or not.

All the above is not having freedom in Christ and none of that which you practice is backed up by God's Word, at all.

🙋🏿‍♂️and Lady Why didn’t you answer this question about the scripture Luke 7:35

@SpiritualMan they aren’t the same name in different languages that’s the truth about it. Just the sound Ishi- uwa is the divine combination that resonates the savior /redeemer frequency. The power is in the figurative word and sound and vibration..

Our faith will guide us to truth but once we know the truth we are accountable
Heavenlywarrior · 36-40, M
@SpiritualMan the English version of Yeshua is Joshua NOT Jesus. Or even Jeshua.

@SpiritualMan ok now please do some research… I brought up the whole thing about… the pronunciation of the word with sound and vibration and tone for a reason…

@LadyGrace I am not a false teacher, you are just misinterpreting what I am saying. What I am saying goes hand and hand with ancient Hebrew and how the Hebrew bible reads, which is the foundation for the New Testament and Christianity. That is just how it is.

NO WAY NO WAY NO WAY NOW WAY I am like a Jehovah's WItness, NO WAY. I believe that the Father is GOD, Jesus is GOD, the Holy Spirit is God. All three are GOD, Yahweh in Hebrew. Other spiritual beings are Elohim which can sometimes be translated as gods lower g. That is just how the Hebrew language works, take it or leave it. If you are offended, I am NOT sorry at all whatsoever.
@LadyGrace Just because I believe you can call the angels Elohim, but never ever ever Yahweh, THAT would be blasphemy, does NOT mean I deny the Trinity. It isn't either or, it is both and. THAT is the correct answer per the Hebrew bible.
