Christians: Imagine for the moment that there is no god, no heaven or hell, nothing you do ultimately matters. Would you start murdering and raping?

If yes, what do you think that says about you.
If no, why do you insist that we need god in order to have morals or behave morally?

I’m an atheist and largely govern my life by the golden rule. I don’t need a mythical Bronze Age creation to be moral.

@redredred I lived on an atheistic kibbutz in Israel (weird I know ).
They said that every critical thinking man eventually arrives at atheism .

@AthrillatheHunt I don’t know if every such thinker gets there I just realized one day that there simply is no need to include a deity in any explanation of the universe. Believers simply get to the limits of their knowledge and understanding and then stick god into the equation. I’m happy to admit I don’t have all the answers but that ignorance doesn’t lead me to accept a Bronze Age superstition.

@redredred your admission of ignorance makes you wiser than you know dude .

@AthrillatheHunt The more you learn the more you realize how much more there is to learn. A wiser man once observed that the problem is that the ignorant are sure of their knowledge while the wise see how foolish they themselves are.
