To ask God to hurt those who willingly hurt you?

That’s how I’m feeling right now. I want my enemies to hurt in the same manner they are trying to hurt me. I’m pretty sure this is against my religeon.

I need someone who always takes the high road against his/her enemies to help me understand.

It's mostly a "lazy" attitude. It's better to understand the mechanism that led them to hurt you, so that you're better prepared to fight back. And if harm was committed, it could be that the human world provides for ways to get retributed or vindicated.
