Nice speculations but as such are just speculations. it is more than possible that Jesus was about 2 years old before the Magi showed up. They did have a long way to go. The fact is we cannot be sure. Speaking personally I really don't need to know when He was born.. Simply the fact that He was born is sufficient. Yes I trust the Bible. But I also know the limitations of the Bible. It doesn't give specific dates. It doesn't actually specify which star the Magi saw. It is likely that Jesus was born in the warm time of the year since the shepherds were in the fields at night. Other than that.....
