I don't understand Christianity

- The bible is 2000 years old and has been rewritten and re-interpreted multiple times but people still take it so literally
- Jesus was around just over 2000 years ago, so did everyone before then who didn't know about this religion go straight to hell?
- What about people who don't accept jesus into their lives because they havn't heard much about Christianity or grew up in a different religion? Do they deserve an eternity in hell?
- If you are Christian, why? And are you open to other truths? Or do you believe the bible is the only truth?

Did everyone go to hell before Jesus? No God says "The firmament declares his Glory, noone is without excuse" And hell? I am not sure what that entales. I know God says "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, so that whosoever believes in him will not perish, but have everlasting life." It is definitely a hard life to not be a christian, because God does not hear your prayers. But there is maybe just death after life for the ingodly? We don't know exactly.

God says people do not believe because of their sins. Jesus paid for everyones sins with his own blood!

We are called to go into all the world and preach the gospel, so that's why I do. God saves, not me.

Am I open to other religions? No absolutely not! I was a big skeptic as a child but God saved me and took me out of darkness to his glorious light. You can read about the miraclesin my 5th post, all that God has done for me. He answers all my prayers, more than I can even imagine! I love Jesus soooo much! My life is good now!

@Carazaa
It is definitely a hard life to not be a christian, because God does not hear your prayers.
I disagree. God is supposedly omniscient, therefore He is fully aware of Hindu, Islam, and other religions prayers.

That's not what God says!

@Carazaa You do realize that the same God we pray to, is the same one Muslims pray to right? The God of Abraham? He def listens to them. The only main difference between Islam and us, is their prophet. Jesus is ours. Muhammad is theirs.

10 Commandments

Exodus 20

20 And God spoke all these words:

2 “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land of slavery.

3 “You shall have no other gods before[a] me.

4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below. 5 You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the parents to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me, 6 but showing love to a thousand generations of those who love me and keep my commandments.

7 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.

8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.

12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.

13 “You shall not murder.

14 “You shall not commit adultery.

15 “You shall not steal.

16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.

17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”

18 When the people saw the thunder and lightning and heard the trumpet and saw the mountain in smoke, they trembled with fear. They stayed at a distance 19 and said to Moses, “Speak to us yourself and we will listen. But do not have God speak to us or we will die.”

20 Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. God has come to test you, so that the fear of God will be with you to keep you from sinning.”

21 The people remained at a distance, while Moses approached the thick darkness where God was.

Idols and Altars
22 Then the Lord said to Moses, “Tell the Israelites this: ‘You have seen for yourselves that I have spoken to you from heaven: 23 Do not make any gods to be alongside me; do not make for yourselves gods of silver or gods of gold.

24 “‘Make an altar of earth for me and sacrifice on it your burnt offerings and fellowship offerings, your sheep and goats and your cattle. Wherever I cause my name to be honored, I will come to you and bless you. 25 If you make an altar of stones for me, do not build it with dressed stones, for you will defile it if you use a tool on it. 26 And do not go up to my altar on steps, or your private parts may be exposed.’

@Carazaa You are ignoring the fact that Muslims pray to the same God. The God of Abraham. The only difference is they believe Muhammad was their savior, and for us it's Jesus. They aren't violating that commandment. The Jewish people also believe in our God. But they don't believe Jesus was the son of God or the savior. So they also are not violating the commandment.

@Ferise1 It would appear so. Logic and reason is lost on her.

1There is a Jesus that people worship who is Gods Son who created heaven and earth He visited us, took our sins on his shoulders walked among us, and rose from the dead, and coming back to judge the living and the dead. This is the real Messiah!
2. There is another God who people worship. He says that Jesus was a prophet but he was only a good man teaching us to love, not God, This is really an angel his name is Satan
3. There is another God that people worship and that says that Jesus is not a judge who will send anyone to hell, but he is our conscience who make us all gods eventually if we listen to our inner voice. This is an angel whos name is SATAN in disguise of "new age"
4.There is another God who says he is Jesus and he says that all other religions are also ok to worship, his real name is ANTICHRIST who is deceived by SATAN

@Carazaa I think you should learn the Bible better, and Biblical history. Ishmael was the first son of Abraham. This is recognized officially by Christians. He is the ancestor of Muhammad. Isaac is who our (as Christians/Catholics), story stems from. He was the other son of Abraham, who became the sole heir. I think you really need to learn Biblical history before saying other religions are invalid.
I chose to welcome our Muslim brothers and sisters in salvation. God saves all according to scripture, and they believe in the same God as us.

@Ferise1 This is correct! And their God, as mentioned is the same exact God as Christians/Catholics and Muslims. This seems to elude Carazaa due to her limited knowledge of the subject matter, brainwashing, and lack of reasoning.
