@Adstar A man's hair is not something we men take great pride in and for those of us whose hair has fallen out it is almost a thing of shame. In 1 Corinthians 11 the idea was that men expose their shame and women cover their glory.
@hippyjoe1955 Lets review the chapter and see what it says about men and their hair..
(1 Corinthians 11:7) "For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man."
So men should not cover their heads because??? Men are the image and glory of God..... Nothing there about men not covering their heads because of shame...
(1 Corinthians 11:14) "Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?"
So in this verse it reveals that men having long hair is shameful.. It does not state that mens heads must remain uncovered because mens hair is a shame to them..
Having LONG hair is a shame to them.. Not men having hair..

How about you try to quote the Bible and teach using it rather them relying on what you have been told by preachers and pastors and other human beings.. That way you can avoid making such put down arrogant statements to Christians who actually do read their Bible and trust in the message contain there within..
@Adstar You have no idea the implications in the Greek. You are not a Bible scholar and have no understanding of all the implications of what that passage says. It is a very deep chapter and great fun to explore. Care to join me as we go through it?

You are one pompus and proud person. the type that cannot be corrected .. Assuming to be a teacher when you are the one who needs to recieve teaching,, I will respond to people for only so long.. After that i allow them to go their own way.. I have allowed you to slap my cheek twice.. No more..
@Adstar And you are the one who is trying to make a mountain out of a molehill. There is a lot of very deep meanings in this passage and I mentioned only one. My comment was simply stating facts. As a man my hair is not something I take pride in. It is simply something that grows on my head. My wife does not share that feeling at all. She takes great pride in it and has been known to color it and curl it and put decorations into it. 1 Corinthians 11 backs up what I just said. That completely aside there is a lot more involved. It goes back to the ancient liturgy of the Apostolic church where in the service men represented God and women represented mankind. God has no authority over Him and thus the man does not put a sign of authority over his head. Woman representing mankind has an authority over her and wears a sign of authority on her head. It is a very deep passage and it would seem you are not interested in delving into it that is up to you. As for arrogance. Take the plank out of your own eye before you try to take the spec out of your brother's eye.
