Define the word soul.

Soul is our immortal personality, after we die.

I think what God means is that the word of God cuts like a knife into our conscience and makes us realize our sins and we fall on our knees and repent. He changes our hearts so the Holy Spirit can come in and makes us a child of God. Our soul will then live in heaven with God forever.

-Our souls fly to heaven without our body if we die before Jesus returns if we are Christians,

-If we are not Christians our souls are asleep with our dead bodies when we die, until he comes and raises everyone from their graves.

-If we are Christians our body goes in the ground, and is not redeemed until Jesus raises us from the dead. Then our body will get a redeemed body to join our soul in heaven forever.

Our spirit and body are slaves to Satan but when we are saved our spirit feels guilty when we sin because our bodies have not been redeemed yet.

When Non Christians hear the word of God they feel uncomfortable because they do not belong to the kingdom of God, but Christians feel happy when we hear the word of God , we feel united with God's Spirit. We are his sheep and hear his voice .
