does anyone else find it difficult to have faith when the world is so awful xxxx

I find it difficult to follow any religious faith full-stop, although I accept it can bring mental comfort to those in danger, and apparently also to those who pray for them... even though it makes not a blind bit of practical difference.

Having written thus I do appreciate that a lot of religious institutions also do what they can practically, mainly by organising charity appeals for disaster-relief funds and/or goods.
