The more I get through Paul's various letters, the more i feel that Christianity could fairly be called "Paulism". Anyone else feel the same?

Def. He changed it so much that he is the creator of the religion. Not Jesus.
@canusernamebemyusername It really does feel a lot like that.
Like Jesus was a doomsday preacher who said the end is nigh and Paul has added a lot of his own interpretation.
@Pikachu And according to the gospels they were written as if Jesus own disciples and followers were a bunch of idiots. And yet people are supposed to follow the sychophants? lol I dont think so.
@canusernamebemyusername

lol i do find the disciples to be kinda amusingly bad at picking up what Jesus was laying down.
@canusernamebemyusername I can see why the Gospels are considered sacred literature. What baffles me is why the Epistles are placed at the same level. They should be supplementary, like the Hadith in Islam or the Talmud in Judaism - important, but not equal to the Quran or the Tanakh. Paul and the others, who were really just discussing how the early church should be run, aren't that important.

@canusernamebemyusername Wrong! Paul persecuted and killed Christians before God saved him!
@Carazaa That's great, but it's still not a reason to elevate his letters to the same level as the gospels. They should be supplementary to the Bible, not part of it.

@LeopoldBloom Are you you joking? Jesus spoke, God spoke, to the apostles! That's why they are sacred!!
@Carazaa So what. He started a cult that went against the teachings of Jesus. If you want Paul as God fine. Do what you want.

@canusernamebemyusername Why do you think that it is a cult?
