How can I prioritize God more?

My attention is being constantly stolen by things or persons, which seem to be "urgent" but are really not.

I don't know any other way but to start every day reading my Bible one chapter at a time. I try to read 3 chapters every morning about 4:30 am and I pray for wisdom for that day. I try not to conrol the day but go with the flow and say yes to anything God gives me, knowing it is for my good, no matter theevents. I end the day with a sermon or Godly You- Tube. I avoid any worldly books and music. And my faith has grown by trusting in his word and promises. I give and wait, I do and wait. "Wait on the Lord and he will renew your strength."
And "resist the devil and he will flee." I want to be blessed by God and live life to its fullness, so that is what I do. There are heavy consequences if we sin, and I hate feeling guilty or hurting people so I try to be as close to Jesus as I can be, go where he wants me to go, and be what he wants me to be. It's not my way but His.

The best way that I know is to set aside a regular time to be alone with God, praying, listening, just being quiet. Maybe have several times during the day to pause and think about what God might want you to do.

@exexec thanks for this! I will definitely do!
Ask God for help. Seek His righteousness and the truth of His Word with all your heart. And He will guide you. If you would ever like someone to talk to about this matter, my inbox is always open. :)

I think we are all guilty of this ...main thing is that you are walking with God (to the best of your ability) , none of us are perfect but God loves us anyway

@stephan055 Yep. His patience and mercy towards me are way beyond my comprehension. I mean, how frustrating it must have been to be on His end, seeing me like this everyday. That's why I want to thank and honor Him by choosing Him this time.
Only when you are alone and broken still there will be God. The every emotion you feel just think of it as a blessing from God.

The thing is...He's there. Always. We can stay in the room and pray and He's there. We could be talking to someone and He's there. Look in the mirror and He's there. See His wonders. His creation. This gift of life, it's from Him.

It's good to spend time focused on Him alone. But I hope even when you're in a crowd, in the middle of the noise, you also see Him at work. He did make the universe knowing we'd be here today. :)

No one can tell another how or when they should worship and pray. It's a personal relationship between that individual and God.
CallistaSloane · 31-35, F
@SW-User I get that. But a little advice won't hurt, especially when a brother or a sister is struggling. :)

Hurl your bible into the fire and skip away into the sunset laughing as you taste your new found freedom!
