I Am Now a Freemason

I was initiated into a Masonic lodge under the United Grand Lodge of England last Thursday. It was an exciting and unique experience which I will never forget. I am still processing it all and trying to understand the ceremony I went through. I am told I will probably need to see it performed several times and study it deeply to properly understand it. All I can say is that it was amazing and that I have never experienced anything quite like it before.

@Adstar I don't see any reason to leave or renounce it. It's extremely positive in every respect. Pretty Biblically-based too.

You are joking? right?

No Christian would ever join freemasonry.. The very first initiation ceremony the initiate must publicly declare that he is in darkness looking for the light... Any Christian who says this is declaring the the Light if the LORD Jesus Christ which they are already in, is Darkness.... NO Jesus believing Christian would Ever make such a blasphemous statement..

@Adstar In the dark with regards to Freemasonry. I honestly don't know why you fundy Christians have such difficulty understanding context. It's not talking about salvation or Christ as the Light of the world. It simply means we are in darkness with regards to Masonic knowledge before initiation, which is completely true, Christian or not. And no, I am not joking. All of our ceremonies draw on the imagery of the building of King Solomon's temple, which is very much based on the Bible.

@BritishPerson What is said is said.. And no Christian would ever say it... Yes you are not joking.. You are twisting things to cushion your conscience out of loyalty to a worldly organization..

@Adstar What is said is said? Ok, just read whatever you like into it then. I have told you what it means in context but you want to as subscribe your own meaning and make it out to be something it's not.

@BritishPerson I see it as it is..
