I Am Now a Freemason

I was initiated into a Masonic lodge under the United Grand Lodge of England last Thursday. It was an exciting and unique experience which I will never forget. I am still processing it all and trying to understand the ceremony I went through. I am told I will probably need to see it performed several times and study it deeply to properly understand it. All I can say is that it was amazing and that I have never experienced anything quite like it before.

@ChrissieMe As I have already said, I don't really want to go into too much detail about things, not necessarily because doing so would be revealing secrets but because I don't want to give spoilers for anyone considering initiation.

I would also add that I am a very new Entered Apprentice Freemason (I was only initiated last Thursday) and I need to be very clear in my own mind (with the help of some of my experienced brothers) about what I can talk to people about and what I can't. Being so new to it I might also not explain something quite as well as someone who has been a Mason for some time.

I do want to be as honest and open about it as possible though. That's why I spoke about my intention to join and my subsequent initiation on here.

@ChrissieMe I will say that nothing I did or experienced was 'crazy.' Strange perhaps, but not crazy. There is meaning behind everything that takes place, which makes sense when understood.
