I can't believe it!

This week we ran out of money and I needed shopping. A few days ago I asked God please can I find a £1 in my bag I need to just get some waffles for breakfast. I went to my bag and rummaged around. To my surprise i found a £1 coin at the bottom. I was shocked and praised God and thanked him before showing my boyfriend. Today I ran out of bread and milk. I once again prayed and asked God please help me God how can I make or find a little money. I searched my bag again and then my jacket. I went to a pocket I don't often use. Inside I found a £5 note. It was just enough to get the few groceries that we needed. I praised and thanked God again several times. I felt blessed. I know that if I trust God he will always provide for us. Praise God! He is amazing!.

Do you honestly think the money miraculously appeared or that you forgot about it being where you found it? I often wonder why he would help in such small things and not save someone (adult or child) who is being murdered or abused?

@CastorTroy I don't have an answer for that. It is sad that bad things happen. I can only guess that it's to do with free will. That in having free will some people choose to do bad things and unfortunately innocent children get caught up in that. But that's only a guess. Who knows God's intentions not I. I do think it's sad though that some only see bad things and not the miracles he performs.

@CastorTroy I was severely abused as a child, and although God didn't stop the abuse right away, he did let me survive. God helped me survive with the ability to still love others, and this is something almost all my therapist said was a miracle. As I grew into a young adult I used my experience to help other children in similar situations. If I hadn't experienced what I did as a child, I wouldn't have understood and had great empathy for the kids I helped. Many times I was the only one who could reach the abused children I worked with. God always has a plan, even when we can't see it at the time. 🙂

@SW-User I'm sorry to hear about your experiences as a child. It is amazing how God can make bad experiences have such an impact on helping others. I was a victim of rape myself. I have also helped others who have been abused in my life.

@RubiesandButterflies I'm referring to the money you found. Finding something we have long forgotten about isn't a performed miracle from God.

@RubiesandButterflies I am so sorry you were raped, but I am very happy you were able to use that traumatic event, to help others. I think that in helping others we kind of heal ourselves a little too. 🤗

@SW-User yes we do 😁

@CastorTroy for me finding it just at the right time is. If you don't believe that's fine each to their own.

@SW-User If God has a plan for us then it is something we need to see now, something tangible in saving us and the planet before we destroy ourselves, and I understand more about abuse than you may think. God never helped me or many other kids who were abused. Some have ended up killing themselves because of it or live the rest of their lives haunted by it. Where was he for these ones?

@CastorTroy I am sorry to read that you know more about abuse than I may think. I cannot speak for God or for why he does what he does. I know about being haunted for life by past abuse, as well. I will never be ok. I have attempted suicide 3 times in my life, coming very close to succeeding when I was 9 years old. The labels I have are numerous, and I have spent most of my life in therapy, but I don't blame God. God has been my strength when I had none of my own. However, I don't expect everyone to feel the same way I do. Again, I am terribly sorry that you know anything at all about abuse. I wish no one knew about this.

@RubiesandButterflies Why didn't he stop the rape? We may have self-will but he has the omnipotent power - none of this makes sense to me. I think God and his 'works' can be used as a crutch for people. In the end we are on our own.
RubiesandButterflies · 51-55, F
@CastorTroy but you have to understand that not everyone will share your views. That we do not see God as a crutch but as more of an inspiration. Yes God is a comfort and can help us through hard times. It is true we can lean on him. But I find him more of an encouragement. I know I can do whatever I put my mind to because I have his support.
