Another child dies in a hot car ????

I just read eight children have died this year so far in hot cars, pretty much all of the parents say they forgot about the kid in the back seat, being a father of two i just don't understand how you forget, while you are driving you look in the rear view mirror, you can always see the car seat and child in the back,i just don't understand how you can just forget you have a child in the back seat ????

My Subaru actually has a reminder that beeps and displays to double check the back seat!
@Spokeskitties75 does it do that every time? Cuz if so, it becomes part of the routine and easily ignored.

It does it if it detected the back doors were opened at any point during that trip

@Spokeskitties75 it'd be nice if they could put weight sensors in the backseats like they do the front. And/or something to detect a seatbelt is engaged. Then sound an audible alarm and refuse to lock the doors like mine does when the fob is still in the car. That's bound to get one's attention.

@SooperSarah I agree…. The technology is definitely there
