My grandma used Ponds cold cream to remove her makeup, Ivory soap to wash, and Avon lotion to moisturize.

She died in her late 70s looking 55. Now I feel like skin care routines require a degree in chemistry to figure out. Kids today have it so complicated. My eyes glaze over when they start talking to me about all their serums and potions.

Also, I recently gave into nostalgia and bought some Ponds and it does NOT smell the same as I remember. It made me very sad but it does remove my water proof eyeliner like a champ.

No idea what my mother used as makeup remover. Yet I distinctly remember mom insisting on Nivea skincare product.

I think my father made a mistake once. 🤣

@DeWayfarer Nair instead of Nivea? 🤭

I like the Nivea hand creams that come in the little flat tin cans.

@SwampFlower Oh don't get into Nair subject. Mom once used it as a bath additive! 🤣
