Not all is bad...
There are good things and there have been good things...wonderful things! even.
In suffering no one is really alone because as humans we have all gone through some sufferings; therefore, loneliness should not be a strong feeling when things get a little tough. Know that others have gone and are going through challenges as you do sometimes.
The real mentality shift now is embracing challenges, welcoming them and smiling at them instead of shying away from them. In this mind space there is power. A step further is to actively look for challenges.
Instead of relishing in a comfort zone...you now relish in the toughness, tenacity, wit, and grit required from the challenges. You become alive in the pain required to achieve something worthwhile and important to you, therefore you seek the challenges. You seek discomfort because it give you life.
All of this ofcourse is said within a rational and self preserving context. Use proper sense (common sense). We are not seeking pain, discomfort or challenges in a masochistic sense...we are not doing this to negatively harm ourselves. These challenges are sought after in a growth context...for the purpose of keeping one's character, "spirit","soul", mind and body strong.
With this new attitude or perspective you now crave positive discomfort, challenges and pain because you know that it will change you into a better and stronger person. Therefore; learn or develop a taste and hunger for positive discomfort. This is where perhaps true living can begin for many of us.
