Breaks my heart to watch these interviews 😔

It's from this guy who interviews homeless people where I live.

Some of you might know already but I was homeless at one point & I was around a lot of people in that lifestyle. Some people you meet are bad, some are just too far gone, but some are just regular people who were never got a chance in life... They still have a chance but don't know where to start.

What breaks my heart about this one is how this girl can't hold eye contact. She looks everywhere else & is fighting her tears the entire interview which tells me how much she wants to break down.
Then at the end when they ask her if she has anything she'd wanna say to her loved ones... she says no then looks down.

I know exactly why that is... It's shame. It's hard to face the people you love when you feel like shit

I have a lot of homeless friends in the AZ desert. I stayed on blm with my son and met people from all walks, sharing public space. I never felt unsafe (but you do gotta trust your gut out there) and I loved hearing their stories and perspectives. Townies called us all dirtbags, didn’t know any of us. Lots of people get by with next to nothing and then I came back to Delaware and people are complaining about frivolous shit. My friends in the desert had nothing and were more generous and generally happier. I know most didn’t care to be part of society anymore though.
