Are people ever going to stop believing in that Tom Cruise religion already?

The original religions are bad enough, But then we have all of the Christianity bunk and all the baby Christian religions and then some science fiction writer writes about some nonsensical crap and voila'...it is a new religion. HE IS A SCIENCE FICTION WRITER!

All religions are works of fiction. This one, in particular, is very interesting. There's a Netflix documentary about it. The documentary does not involve the scientology history appropriately, and that by itself is a different level of crazy, involving the occult, Hollywood orgies in the 30s and 40s.
@Northwest Do you have more info about exactly what they believe?
Northwest · M
@PoetryNEmotion Scientologists believe people have super powers, that can be tapped into, but only if they're trained in how to handle the relationship of one's soul to others' and the universe.

If that sounds like bullshit, it is. There's more. You should look for Travolta's movies on the topic, it pretty much describes the supreme being that they follow.
@Northwest Okay. Thanks. Travolta? He is gay and led a double life when married and with kids. Lots of celebrities are so screwed up. Poor role models.

@PoetryNEmotion I will give a more detailed response later
@Northwest i am certain those orgies still happen. and i do agree that all religious books are fiction
@PoetryNEmotion i don't understand the hate for Travolta...he has lost alot of people that he was close to and he is a shy and quiet actor....who cares if he is bi-sexual?... every human is born bi-sexual.

and that kiss he gave to Natasha Romanov? who cares? they worked together on a movie. it wasn't like he came up to a perfect stranger on the street and did that.

And they go on and on about him messing up that little nobody's name. i had no idea who she was until he screwed up her name and then i found out who she was. He did her a favor!!!!

And yes, i believe that anyone in that religion is nuts, but that's just me
@LILY61 He hid the fact he is gay. Not bi. Lots of gay guys fear anyone knowing so they do marry and have kids. I know this from personal experience. Travolta is not a man. He cannot own up to who he truly is. Has nothing to do with losses. We each have losses. It is about having the courage to be who you are. To live as intended. He is a coward. That is how I feel. Never get inbolved with anyone who cannot be who they trule are. Do not waste your life nor your time. All it does is cause pain and sorrow.
@PoetryNEmotion Jeez! that sounds like a personal attack. he and his wife were very demonstrative. he is bi. and you obviously didn't live during the 60's and 70' and 80's as i did. you were not allowed to talk about your sexuality or preferences or drug use or anything. famous people rarely talked about their political beliefs back then. you would be ruined. until the 90's, people never spoke the truth about anything...are you old enough for this conversation?

@LILY61 The studios used to set up public dates for Rock Hudson with some of Hollywoods leading ladies, to make sure the public did not ask questions.

It's not about "courage". It doesn't take any courage to come out as gay today. But in 1980 or even 1990, it killed careers. I remember when Ellen came out, during an interview. The interview was choreographed, with a leading question, and Ellen responded with "you mean the rumor that I am Lebanese?", and then they wrote her the coming out of her character on her TV show.
@Northwest yeah, i remember it well. and i agree that coming out now doesn't take courage but back then it did when Travolta was really famous
@LILY61 He could come out now. He would help others. Instead of sneaking around with men. Being openly gay seems to be more acceptable these days.
@PoetryNEmotion maybe he just doesn't feel like it. it IS his life ya know. his sexual orientation is his own business, not someone elses. Do YOU go into a room of strangers and announce Your sexual orientation?
