I kinda understand how men get confused & think woman are hitting on them when we're actually just being friendly.

I was a very friendly person in my younger days. I could have interesting conversations with men as well as women. I had no idea that men saw my behavior as being interested in them romantically, until someone pointed it out. I was stunned that my friendly conversation could be misconstrued this way. I’ve always seen people as people first, but men seem to have different thoughts about an attractive woman engaging them in conversation.
