A Question For Mike Stoklasa (Or Other STNG Nerds)

Kwek00 · 41-45, M
Honestly, if you want to maintain mobility, then isn't this one of the best things you can do? Aestheticaly it looks really bad, but it's functional. What is the alternative?

@SnailTeeth Yeah, that's a big disadvantage. You can also get stuck behind things. But these guys have to connect their power and data connections to the specific implant in some way. And if a cable is nescessary to do, then you can either put them in their body or on the outside. You need to think about the length of the cable. Which needs to be long enough to be able to connect those two points in every position the body is in. And you have to think about mobility, like if you attach a big less bendable cable to a joint, using that joint will require more power (because it needs to bend the cable) and will make you slower. Which is not effecient either imo. Wasted time is the ultimate sin.

@Kwek00 Isn't our nervous system just a series of cables? Besides, these fucks should have nano cables at this point. I'm just not buying it. xD

@SnailTeeth 😅 Who knows how incredibly advanced those cables really are. And yeah, but our nervous system isn't really automatising non biological parts.
