Besides Elvis what other musicians or celebrities faked their death?

I figure Joey Ramone faked his death so he could live peacefully on a tropical Island in Canada (Vancouver Island). I saw him a couple of times at local parades but when he noticed I recognized him he slipped into the crowd and got away before I could say gabba gabba hey. Cheers and happy weekend!
