The best thing about not being in the USA right now...

Taylor Swift's wedding came and went and nobody here unless they happened to be diehard Swifties batted an eyelid over it. 8-) At least she got to have the real Rent-a-Crowd a-list celebs show up because none of them went to Trump's parallel gig.

As is typical with my experience regarding Taylor Swift, I saw more online activity by the "haters" than I did about the actual wedding.

The two of them strike me as two people who really love each other, and I wish them all the best. And given how the music industry treated her early on, both in terms of ownership of music and in terms of sexual misconduct, I have nothing but respect for how she sued in court for a mere $1.00, for the way in which she earned her money by rerecording everything, and how she has spent so much charitably. And I love how young women have been inspired by her.

If the US is going to engage in worship of rich celebrities, there are a lot worse examples out there.

She's a successful entertainer and seems to be a genuinely generous person. Was I "excited" about her wedding? No. But I wish her happiness.

@Poppies I agree with all that. I do not like that she flies around the world in hired private jets when doing concert tours then at the same time tries to back up the 'environmentalism' bandwagon. I'm sure she's a lovely person in person when there's no 'performance pressure' going on. Like most people are out of the public spectre.
Who cares.❤

@Cherrytempt Precisely
I didn’t notice it either. I wish them joy.
