James Earl Jones, 1931-2024 R.I.P.

It is hard to believe that he had a severe speech impediment when he was a child. A teacher helped him overcome it. Thanks to the teacher and others who believed in him.

I had the pleasure of seeing him on Broadway as "Othello" An incredible actor in an incredible role....and I saw it on my birthday, a day I will always remember.

Inspired by your post I watched Cry the Beloved Country yet again last night and shed many tears.
JEJ is magnificent and Richard Harris is also very good.
I know you've seen it and I highly recommend it to anyone who hasn't.

He was a great talent. He brought the mystical magic to Field of Dreams.

Yes,a powerful and distinctive voice indeed.I first saw James Earl Jones back in the '70s,in a TV movie called "The Man".

No doubt, the films he's been in and the roles he's played will be remembered for generations.

I can't think of a more magnificent voice than his, really, along with him being such an excellent actor.

One of the all time greats... he will be missed.
