What was your opinion on Anna Nicole Smith?

I watched the 20/20 documentary on her called "Tragic Beauty" on YouTube and really kind of felt bad about how the last few years of her life was with being married to that jerk lawyer who exploited her and didn't care about her drug addiction. Then the final straw was the death of her son.

I know everyone probably had a mixed opinion on her because she married that 90 year old Oil Tycoon back in the 90s in which people thought she was a gold digger.

But I consider her the modern day Marilyn Monroe.

But sadly she hung out with the wrong type of people in life

I don't get too emotional about celebrity deaths but she was one of the rare cases as I still remember that day seeing the news she tragically passed away at only 39

She was a " Tragic Beauty " . I believe she was misunderstood and misled because she was so young and naive. I see her as a Marilyn Monroe type myself.....she even lived in Marilyn Monroe's bungalow for a time. Marilyn was an icon to her. I feel she was exploited in every sense of the word by Howard K. Stern. He was a joke of a man. The sad thing is, her son died and she went downhill after that. Never seeing her daughter grow up. It hurt my heart when I heard the news that she had passed. 💔

That Netflix Documentary really didnt paint her in a good light

1.) It mentioned what a creep her dad was

2.) It claimed that Annas daughters (Dannilynn) father Larry was nothing but a user and looking to make a name for himself through Anna and thats why she took off to the Bahamas. It sucks the documentary claimed that because he seems like a good dad to the kid.

3.) Annas friend from the 80s claimed her and Anna were married at one point. And Anna stole her childhood stories about being abused and passed them off as her own.

4.) The documentary doesnt say one bad thing about her shady lawyer boyfriend who was somewhat responsible for her downfall

Does anyone plan to watch the Netflix Doc or already did

@Superman88 she died about 45 mins from my home
SHE considered herself to be the next "Marilyn Monroe", but I don't believe she was as smart or talented.

It would have been better for her to have been less "endowed" and to not have embraced the Playmate world as a real place to live.

Just my opinion. Fame eats people up.

The first look at the Anna Nicole Smith documentary Netflix is releasing May 16. This documentary is supposed to be showing a different side to her of what was she like behind the lights and glamour and the side the public view doesnt know about

Never found her particularly pretty, but she seemed like a person who had a lot of sadness and tragedy in her life, so I felt sorry for her and how things ended.
Who? No idea who that is lol 🤷🏼‍♀️😂🤣

So no opinion on someone that I have never heard of before

I find her fascinating and tragic as well. So much beauty, so much devasting loss.

One of my childhood crush. Hope she's at peace now 🕯️
I think she was like a lot of women in this country. Someone who never felt loved by the right people when she was young.

As she got older, she looked for that love elsewhere, and found it, even though it wasn't the right kind of love.

Looks like she only made off with $8 million in gifts from the old man. Doing her wifely 'duty' to that geezer😑 I think she deserved about 4 times more than that.
I felt bad for her, especially when her adult son died on the same day her daughter was born. I think she died because she just couldn’t bear anymore.
I thought she and that oil baron both got an even deal out of that marriage. It was also a raw deal for both of them, by my standards, but equally raw. I didn't know anything about the lawyer. You reap what you sow.

Poor, uneducated, not so bright young woman takes advantage of her looks and gets fucked up in the end and taken advantage of. Same ol' story.

You know, I don't even judge her for being how she was. Our society hammers home the idea that money is more important than anything. She saw a way to make money, and she went for it.
