I definitely remember him from back in the day - and how people in the front row of his shows would wear ponchos.

Too soon, he made a lot of people laugh.

Lame claim to fame: a relative of mine toured with him in the 80s.

People remember him for the smashing, but his standup was really, really good.

Heard about him a few days ago. Never knew his full name. My best friend used to own a ton of his videos, and would play a different one every time I came over.

Wow I totally missed this in the news

He was know for smashing things as his act but his joke telling was actually really good and on point. Interesting side note. Carrot Top was a huge a fan and took directiin from Gallagher according to his own words. One time when he got to perform next to Gallagher he asked his opinion. Gallagher replied that if he was going to copy his act why he chose the worst part of it? Turns out Gallgher wasn't really a big fan of what made him most famous and felt it alaay outshown the rest of his craft which he put more effort into.
