Not allowed to feel yearnings for others so I suppress all thoughts of 'crush' like interest in others as romance etc is not permitted in my life. ;-)

@SW-User I've been burnt several times and I just feel like I am not allowed to ever have positive romantic relationships especially now I'm older. It sounds a bit strange to say 'positive' and 'romantic' like that since thinking about 'romance' as a negative experience is a very taboo thing few people will ever talk about.
