I'm not a believer or follower of the Catholic church anymore but what could I possibly confess to the priest if I were to go into a confessional?

I don't do bad or 'naughty' things as it is not in my nature. I live a quiet and peaceful life and am overall pretty boring. What do you do if you go into a confessional and have nothing to confess? Would the priest be pissed of at you?

Confession was the old idea, that you go to confess your sins to try to become closer to God in your behaviour.

Now the sacrament is called reconciliation. Its focus is on relationships. It is trying to allow you to have a better relationship with God and people and yourself. So even if you don't do bad or naughty things, if your relationships are out of kilter, be they with God, or others or yourself it can provide guidance and healing.

There are many reconciliations that occur with a Priest where God is not mentioned.
