If you don't currently serve in your country's military or other armed forces, would you want to? Or not?

I'm in the 'not' camp because armed forces are compelled to enforce the agenda(s) of government(s) not actually do what is right for the people of the country. Normal citizens (and military/armed forces) are usually considered expendable by the government of their country regardless of what a government might say or do.
