Okay, I figured out what's going on with Pete finally. He's in over his head, and he knows it, and he can't handle the stress of the job, so he drinks. And then, because he's drunk, he makes stuріԁ mistakes. This makes him feel even more inadequate to the job, and he drinks even more.

@LordShadowfire This is just a guess but I suspect he is partaking of synthetic cannabinoids. Many of these are illicitly manufactured and sold. The use of illicit synthetic cannabinoids is associated with severe health problems and can be life-threatening.
Their use is linked to serious psychological problems including irrationality and paranoia. Routine urine drug screening does not reliably detect their use, although specific screening procedures will detect them if proactively utilized.
Certainly Hegseth’s erratic behavior where he flies off the deep end at very appropriate questioning of his brash and dangerous behaviors leads one to wonder if he’s being properly tested regarding illicit drug and alcohol use/abuse.
All Americans are owed an honest and prompt answer.

@LordShadowfire He definitely cannot handle stress. His gut instinct is to lash out and his innate paranoia takes over.
I mean, when confronted with “leakers” his go to move is to subject everyone around him to polygraphs? That’s like a full out confession that the leaks are true and that there’s much worse soon to be revealed…
