@sunsporter1649 Canada's chief of defense staff said that he won't confirm nor deny. lol. Yeah Canada has troops on the ground in Ukraine and they are fighting for Ukraine. They like the Ukrainian soldiers are being killed by Russian soldiers which is really sad. This is such a pointless war brought on by the US/NATO but I repeat myself. There is no need for NATO to expand into Ukraine or any other border state. Russia poses no threat to any of them if they remain neutral.

@sunsporter1649 I finally found a report on the two. this was their second tour. The one was a combat medic on his first tour and wanted to be a combat soldier on his second tour. He knew what it was like and a few days before he was killed he wondered how he would survive this tour. Sadly for his family in Calgary he didn't survive. He was killed by a Russian artillery strike near Bakhmut.

They would have been fighting for Ukraine although they would have done it on their own ticket rather than with backing from Canadian armed forces.
Soldiers from other countries are also over there fighting alongside Ukraine troops but they are over there on their own free will and don’t have the support of their own countries armed forces.
