USA citizens: Our military is not ready.

@Hikingguy I think that Congress needs to address the political nature of the military. The problem is that they already have SO much to do, and they are focusing on retribution instead of more pressing needs during their limited time.

Advancement to 4 and 5 star General is presently ONLY given to those who toe the Democrat/Socialist/Marxist/Progressive party line. This is wrong.

There MUST be other means of advancement.

@soar2newhighs By no means. The military MUST, however, respond to the directives of the commander in Chief. Hopefully 2024 will see a shakeup.

@4meAndyou True but when the commander -in-chief is possibly mentally challenged and his actions are not necessarily in the best interest of the nation or it’s military, it’s not the military’s obligation to follow that person. That’s my opinion. And

@soar2newhighs The orders of the commander in chief must always be followed. Even if...🙄🙄🙄...he or she has the brains of an over ripe squash. Did you see Sec Def's extremely subtle eye roll when he was trying to explain WHY they exited Afghanistan the way they did? I could tell, just by his facial expression, that they had deliberately screwed the pooch in the worst possible way to get back at Biden for the old man temper fit he threw to get them to withdraw completely with zero personnel in place by a certain date.

But I digress. The military can always find little ways to get around their orders...but the American people will not stand for a military than can not or will not win wars.

@4meAndyou Given this administration pushing this questionable occupier of the Oval Office, at the rate they’re going yes we could lose a non nuclear war with an equal or better prepared military. China is a major military player and they’ve been building, ascending their military while ( IMO) we’re de-clawing if you will, ours. Our adversaries are watching this.

@soar2newhighs I really didn't plan to spend my golden years in a Chinese/American concentration camp...so they had better straighten out our military muy pronto.
