No better sound in the world...

When you really, really, really need a ride, there is no better sound in the world than the thump - thump - thump of Marine aviation coming in low and fast over the next hill.

Even if I go bankrupt, no Marine will ever pay for a drink in my company.

Semper Fi Sara, there is a soft spot in my heart for the sound of a Huey coming in for a landing.

@Roadsterrider I'm Navy, but thanks. These were two Osprey. They still make a thump - thump - thump when in hover mode but it's very different from the Huey.

@sarabee1995 I crewed on Hueys a little and c-130s, I was around back in the 80s when the Osprey program was getting a second wind. Never got to ride on one I think I will stick with helicopters, that is all I do now.
