I'm a USA citizen, served in Viet Nam era.
I love and respect all branches of our military.
They do a difficult job, a sometimes life threatening job for little pay. And, sometimes the folks at home are very appreciative.

Having a strong military is the best way to ensure peace.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@Budwick I thought they trained people to kill.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Crazychick That's true.
To kill and break things.
They train to do a lot of things.
What's your point?
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@Budwick It was a response to your comment "Having a strong military is the best way to ensure peace".
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Crazychick Ironic, don't you think?
Having a strong military really is a deterrent to otherwise potential hostile nations.
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@Budwick They say that about nuclear bombs just to justify having them, but they shouldn't really, should they?
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Crazychick I never heard that.
I never said that.
Who are they?
jackjjackson · 61-69, M
Commies? 😂 @Budwick
Crazychick · 36-40, F
@Budwick The ones who have nuclear bombs.
Budwick · 70-79, M
@Crazychick So, you say that those who have nuclear bombs say that having them is a good way to ensure peace - is that right?

Might be true.
The only ones I know that ever used 'em was us, the very first ones on Japan. And, I guess everyone saw the devastation and is extremely reluctant to use them ever again.

But then you've got crazy places like Iran - I don't think they give much thought to the devastation - anymore than they think about themselves being blown into a thousand pieces when they starp on bombs.

Hey, fun chat!
