How can anyone condone US support for the genocide in Yemen.

I simply don't understand it. Unless you just really hate Yemeni people and want them dead, I can't fathom any other reason why you'd think it's ok. Even if you completely disregard the fact that it's a humanitarian disaster, it's still costing all your tax money, violating the US Constitution, and violating international law. Like, how are you benefiting from it?

Are we backing the Saudis or just standing by and letting the animals do that? What was the Obama administration's stance on this?

@abe182 Oh we're supporting it hardcore, we're spending hundreds of billions of dollars in tax money buying weapons and shoveling them into the hands of the Saudis. We've committing many of our defense contractors - primarily Boeing but also Raytheon, Honeywell, and Lockheed Martin - to producing bombers to be flown over Yemen and drop cluster munitions. American naval warships are blocking the Arabian Peninsula to prevent any food, any water, or any medicine from entering the country.

If it wasn't for us, there wouldn't be the humanitarian crisis that there is.

@BlueMetalChick seems like both sides of Islam are animals. That's beyond barbaric to say the least. What has Trump stated about it? Do you know if he has
BlueMetalChick · 26-30, F
@abe182 He hasn't said anything directly about the country of Yemen or the conflict going on there, but instead tried to cloak in with "we're such good friends with Saudi." Don't get me wrong, Obama was a huge Saudi supporter and god did I ever hate him for it. And Bush was the same way. Trump's made it even worse though. Shockingly, the Congress passed a bill to end our support for the genocide. Both houses ratified Ro Khanna's proposal. But Trump is such a mega-cuck to Saudi that he vetoed it.

@BlueMetalChick I'll look into that bill

@abe182 I highly suggest you check out the author, Ro Khanna. He's one of the most honest, least corrupt, and most populist people in Congress at the moment. Antiwar, pro-worker, anti-establishment, supports a combination of shrinking the size of welfare programs by increasing the amount of money workers make and busting up big banks. Dude's a real one.

@BlueMetalChick I will definitely be checking him out. Thanks BMC
