Did the US lose the Vietnam war?

I'm interested to see if there's a difference between how americans view this and how people from other countries view it so feel free to announce your nationality.

And none of this "it wasn't a war" bullshit. A rose by any other name and all that.

I am American. We lost and acted like losers all the way through and especially at the end and then welshed on reparations and the whole era was disgraceful. No one ever got it, it seems. We invaded Vietnam, destroyed a million people and the entire environment and never acknowledged what we did and so the shame lives on....
And it never ever had anything to do with north and south and China and evening news politics. Nothing to do with bloody "Communism". If anyone wants to understand why just look at what the US is still trying to do everywhere else wherever it can ....and why. The reasons are the same.

Bet my life most foreigners would agree.
And I bet most SWeeps would disagree.
