Can anyone say something reassuring about the situation with Russia and the next five years?

The Pentagon brass has openly admitted that Russia could defeat NATO within a matter of hours, and we are in each others face like never before. It's not good when consulates get closed and dignitaries expelled.

In each others face like never before? Have you forgotten the Cold War? Nothing will happen anyway. Neither the West or Russia want to go to war.

@Gumba1000 I was in the service during the peak of the cold war. It wasn't as tense as this, because at that time it was a bear and an eagle, not a bear and a bug.
