I Hate My Job

Call center is horrible. but I live alone and I had no choice...

You would think that my degree in IT would help me... but apparently no work experience = no job... what? how am I suppose to get work experience if I am not hired? internships? those are poorly paid ...

I worked for a call center for 8 years...probably the worst job I ever worked

Do you have a AS degree or a BS degree?

I finished university so I got bachelor or what is called . I don't want to go for master though

My only advice is to network like mad, expand your search area and just send your resumes to everybody...send at least 5 a day. Your schooling counts as experience, also work on getting certifications CCNA.
I have heard from a few people if you get a degree at a college. doesn't really mean you will get a career from it.

My cousin has a few degrees. And he sells car's

... a degree in IT is pretty much for getting a job in a call center and then working your way up, I'd think.

@Otichoo so a degree in computer science then? a degree in IT sounds like... I dunno, full sail university or devry or some such. which isn't to say they have no value, it's just more of a trade school approach and sometimes isn't quite what people are looking for. if you wanted to do development, use your time in the call center to get some good ops experience, try to get the tier 2 and 3 techs to give you stuff to do/show you, then start trying to make a shift into devops.

I try that . I learn python between 😂 calls @SW-User

@Otichoo it'll just take some time. and you'll have to ask for things/make your own things that fit well. 'I made this little script to pull in from all these sources and generate a report. do you want it emailed to you every morning?' kinda things.

You are still young, you should study or get a good degree and move out. With studies you can do part time jobs. Internships don't pay more but it can fetch you experience certificate.
