I love "boiler plate" specs from 1997! Sure, I'll use the life safety code from 8 editions back. Why da fuq not?

@GerOttman I specialize in Section 8 Mainly 08100, 08200, 08700. Don't say what it is.

But I know you know, 😉 I have been doing that for over 40 years in Nevada.

The fire codes and life safety codes haven't changed much. The last big change I remember
is Reagans ADA codes. That changed my industry quite a bit.

@DogMan I foget if it changes every 4 years or 5. the changes are mostly subtle and technical however skipping 6 revisions because an engineer can't be bothered to update the spec is a real pain in the butt. Im not familiar with the details of your specialty but it's probably similar in some respects. I did fire slarm systems for almost 40 years. A lot changed in that time. The last project I had was a class 3 cluster fu3k! I had a unique opportunity to jump ship to the organization I had been servicing and never looked back!
