Losing a Client

I have my own cleaning business. Today a client has told me they can no longer afford a secondary house in Ontario. They are putting there secondary house up for sale. I have worked for them for 4 years. But I struggled before trying to find clients before them. I hope this time I’m not waiting for long to find another client. I know things are getting expensive for a living and what I offer is not a essential part of life and who knows the career of residential cleaner is unknown in future as it is too costly of other things that are essential.

Have you thought about contacting your local social services?
They may need cleaners for folks who need in home support.
It would be a reliable income source.

@Gingery Ill look into that idea definitely more reliable then your average residential cleaning

could you offer a limited service - just a quick run the vacuum take out the trash type thing - maybe have a menu ?

you might have to have more people to make the same money but maybe end up with the same cash?

That's a shame. Business can get difficult. It sucks when those customer relationships end. Hope you find another client and your business prospers.

@twistedrope thank you. I hope so.
