To a degree, that’s a necessary adaptation to circumstances, isn’t it?
Not to swallow the corporate hype hook, line and sinker, but ‘getting with the program’ helps a lot to make one feel like getting out of bed on Monday.
Since we have to work, enthusiasm can help make it less painful.
There were a couple of jobs I just hated, and quit at the first opportunity, but I liked most jobs and where possible, tried to be a team player.
You are very right about being replaceable, but what is a company expected to do? Shut down operations and fire everybody out of grief?
