Sometimes people try to appear to be 100% dedicated so they can keep their jobs.
We live in a time where we are asked to do so much with so little in return, if you start to appear less enthusiastic suddenly your job is up for consultation or your appraisal is raising concerns which eventually lead to you being let go.
