Why does job hunting has to be such a big pain in the ass?

In the old days it was easy. No e-mail or cellphones were needed.

Now they want to verify a e-mail and cellphone number.

Well motherfuckers I don't have a cellphone.

What a crock of shit and more difficult it has become

Just put the want ads back in the newspaper and America will be great again

This is so true even if he didn't say or or not

It's even more a pain in the butt when you need social media for it... or a profile for them to look at because you have to be perfect and super fake.

it's like if you blink wrong, employers get suspicious, but social media just amplifies it

Do you need it to work?

@HumanEarth Depends on the job,
I'm hearing more and more places only hire if they can find a profile of you...
And that employers get suspicious because "everyone" uses social media these days.
or social media is the new resume, or something like that.

Not sure if it's just an old wives tale or not tho.

This is the only social media I have and its fake. Meaning I use it for play and entertainment.

If what I say on here was link to my real life. I would never work again if that's true.

I worked 80% of life self employed and never used Facebook or MySpace or Gmail

@HumanEarth Yeah, you can't be yourself on places like FB 😔

I even later got banned from FB because I was using a VPN and wasn't using my real name.

That's also something employers might intentionally ask about, and if you were banned, they get suspicious.

That's why any site I sign up to, I make sure they don't require to display your full identity publicly.

Yeah, self employed is the way to go imo,
but customers/clients are technically employers and will look up your business online

I'm a farmer, nothing is done on-line
