Help me tentatively decide

If you enjoyed kids , would you go back into being a nanny or go back into a school setting/assistant teacher?

I really love nannying.. the only thing is many families move, or they might have another kid and then are home more and cut your hours. So while it is a great job with good pay, it is not always stable.
I liked being an assistant teacher too, however not as much as one on one nannying. It was stressful at times, as you have MANY kids needing something every MINUTE. But, it is stable, that is the feature that makes me wonder if I should get back into a school, vs. child care.

What would you do? It is really hard to decide. Either one would be part time as I have PTSD. I love child care b/c I can set the day how I feel , at the pace I like, and it is one -on -one, so the child gets your full attention. We do lots of wonderful activities. However, the parent can show up late at the end of the day, it is not as stable as a school position. what might you do?

Go for it! Do what you love!

Also, it gives you more money to spend at Trader Joe's!

I personally could not do it. Screaming children get under my skin, and literally hurt my ears due to my tinnitus. I had to teach college students in graduate school and I did not even like that. No trouble but I was so nervous.

I may have to teach an online class for my job, and it makes me so nervous.

@JoyfulSilence I like nannying but its not as stable as a school job. I guess either could fit.. You will do fine with teaching !

@Coralmist

I know nothing about caring for children.

At least for the class I am a little prepared. My boss has been teaching it and I sat in to learn and assist if needed. But nobody ever asked me for help.

What makes me nervous is I did not make the slides so do not always understand what they are trying to say. I may have to edit them! So much work!
