UPDATE: I got accepted into the aviation mechanics training program!!!!

This means I'm hired by that aviation company (not gonna spill on who) and they're giving me 12 weeks of paid training, and a more permanent role thereafter after they do a performance evaluation! This company provides engines and other things like propellers, helicopter engines and parts, and other turbine engines for commercial aircraft/production and on a annual contract with the U.S. military. I'm so ecstatic about this and just getting my foot in the door, so that I can have a chance to show them my work ethic and initiative!

Scratch what i said on your previous post, i should have looked for an update first lol.

Congratulations! I've been an automotive and heavy equipment technician for over 20 years and have employed 2 female technicians since owning my own shop for the last 13 years. They are by far the best techs I've had the pleasure of working with in my career.

@NickyLee I have mad respect for that. You guys and other mechanics that have been in the business for so long are intriguing to me. It's a tough world out there and anyone trying to have a start in that field needs a little support to get to place that you're in now. Lots of places here are very "picky" about the trades and who they mentor, so thank you for that! 😁

@RedGrizzly you're right. Ive somewhat recently ventured into a new field myself, and it's tough to do something like that as an established adult.
