2 years work service

I have been at my work place for 2 years and due to the business being really quite they are laying staff off (they have been there for under 2 years) as I have been there for just over 2 years can they lay me off for the business being quite or do I have certain rights?

Anyone can be laid off irrespective of length of service - what rights you have will depend on which country you are in

a lay off its a temporary absence from work
and time served doesn't determine who will be laid off.
