It would be if it's totally up front. Problem is I don't see how they can justify it on the ledger end.
It's why companies require milage reports and such for IRS purposes. I know this because I had to report mileage monthly as well as other expenses. I actually was getting a second income because of those reports. And that was just work milage.
Also I hope you get a company credit card. Because gas you'll need everywhere as well as unexpected repairs.

@DeWayfarer true true.. I have an advantage that the area I cover is pretty big.
They got us to record miles for the first 3x months to gather an average of what we potentially do in distance.
Also I’m under a government contract..
so.. kind of a blank cheque scenario..

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout I was the company rover. I traveled to as many as four different cities in one day. It was a huge extra income at times.
Once had to report going over 200 miles because of a fire blocking the whole area.
