Would you apply for a new job if it was barely over $200 more per month?

It would be about what I graduated in, but so far I got turned down. 🤷‍♂️

As a graduate (I'm assuming degree or Canadian equivalent) that sounds like a horrifically low amount of money. Is it full time? Isn't there a minimum wage?

@GeniUs There is, but the recent job is at a public hospital, the other as a programmer, though it would be just as public, since it's linked to health care services. But the wage rises with time, so it would have been like twice the difference in the beginning. Plus, this is calculated past taxes already.

@scooogy $200 for a graduate sounds poor, minimum wage in the UK is £8.21/hr a 40 hr week would give you about £330/ month which is nowhere near to being taxed and this is for people who will be trained on the job ie working in supermarkets etc.

@GeniUs no, I mean the difference actually. In the lower paid job it's about $17/hr a 40 hr week.

@GeniUs I think the poster meant $200 MORE per month than whatever your previous job was paying you.
