Is it hard to get in an IT career?

My current job is a dead end. I'm pretty tech savvy, I'm thinking about switching careers. I don't know if it's possible though

Well, I work in IT in the UK, sweetie....

It's a not bad career. Very interesting people it brings to it (myself included! Lol!) and you're still very young so.....go for it!
